Nati nel 2006 dall’unione di Zack, singer ed autore dalle idee anticonformiste e dal chitarrista Wolverine noto per la pesantezza e la cattiveria dei suoi riff, la band incomincia a scrivere del materiale sul quale prova ogni giorno, fino a quando Balo veloce e dinamico drummer ed Andrea bassista distinto dalla sua grande creatività ed indiscutibile tecnica si aggiungono alla line up e formano il gruppo vero e proprio. Dopo pochi mesi la band colleziona una serie di concerti dove presenta brani originali conditi da cover che mettono in luce le proprie radici musicali (Slipknot, Machine Head, Sepultura, Rage Against The Machine) mettendo a ferro e fuoco i diversi palcoscenici toccati e dimostrando un’attitudine live impressionante.
I pezzi creati dagli EXALT CYCLE sono caratterizzati da un sound granitico e violento che supporta le urla inferocite di Zack; gli argomenti affrontati dalla band sempre a sfondo sociale fanno divenire gli EXALT CYCLE un vero e proprio caso unico nella scena underground italiana. Il 2007 è l’anno d’uscita del primo album ufficiale della band, totalmente autoprodotto “Across The Ashes And The Roots” colpisce per la sua immediatezza e per i suoni di altissima qualità. Brani come “Rising”, “Digger”, “Soldier Child” o “Naked Think” oltre ad essere pezzi a dir poco devastanti e veri e propri cavalli di battaglia eseguiti nei numerosi live, impressionano per la maturità compositiva e tecnica dei singoli componenti.
L’album ottiene numerose critiche positive dalle webzine del settore e contribuisce alla crescita di numerosi affezionati che seguono con sempre più interesse le vicende legate alla band milanese. Il 2007 e il 2008 sono passati praticamente sempre on stage, infatti la band realizza un numero impressionante di concerti, in Italia ed anche all’estero, molti dei quali di supporto agli Exilia, Extrema, Dufresne, Mellowtoy, Pino Scotto, Arcadia De Crew. Il 2009 si apre con la stessa incessante attività live e lo sviluppo di nuovi brani pronti ad incendiare i palcoscenici di tutto il paese. La loro battaglia continua e non conosce il significato della parola tregua.
Con l’inizio del 2009 cambia qualcosa all’interno della band e Keine entra in pianta stabile nella line-up come nuovo bassista, un vero macigno, un nuovo sound…un nuovo ciclo inizia.
